1. Health at the Time of Sale

  • All puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to going to their new homes.

  • Puppies are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and flea/tick prevention.

  • You will receive a copy of the puppy’s health records, including vaccination dates and any treatments administered.

2. Genetic Health Guarantee

  • We guarantee that your puppy is free from life-threatening congenital or hereditary disorders for a period of 1 year (12 months) from the date of birth.

  • Covered conditions include, but are not limited to:

    • Hip dysplasia (severe)

    • Heart defects

    • Severe eye disorders (e.g., cataracts, progressive retinal atrophy)

    • Severe respiratory issues (e.g., brachycephalic syndrome)

    • Other genetic disorders as diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian.

3. What to Do If a Health Issue Arises

  • If your puppy is diagnosed with a covered condition within the guarantee period, you must:

    1. Notify us in writing (via email) within 48 hours of the diagnosis.

    2. Provide a written statement from a licensed veterinarian detailing the diagnosis.

    3. Provide all relevant medical records and test results.

  • Upon verification, we will offer one of the following:

    • A replacement puppy of equal value (when available).

    • A refund of the purchase price (minus shipping costs).

4. Exclusions

This health guarantee does not cover:

  • Minor or treatable conditions (e.g., allergies, ear infections, or skin issues).

  • Conditions caused by neglect, improper care, or accidents.

  • Illnesses or conditions that occur after the puppy leaves our care, including those caused by exposure to parasites, viruses, or bacteria.

  • Any condition that has not been diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide proper care, nutrition, and regular veterinary check-ups for your puppy.

  • You must follow the vaccination and deworming schedule recommended by your veterinarian.

  • You must not breed the puppy unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by Smart Fluffy Frenchies.

6. Shipping and Travel

  • If the puppy is shipped, the health guarantee remains valid, provided the puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival. A written health certificate from the vet must be provided to us.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Smart Fluffy Frenchies is not responsible for any veterinary fees, transportation costs, or other expenses incurred after the puppy leaves our care.

  • Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the puppy.
